Sorry your stay was not as expected. When you arrived you had called stating your were at the door, and the lock would not work ( in which you were at the wrong part of the property you had booked, when I had sent specific instructions on which door to enter), which I then upgraded you at no charge to the main house and stated the air conditioning was not in the main house as it was not being rented, and I would turn it on remotely ( as well as stated the thermostat was in the hallway, as I only lowered it to kick on so you could adjust it to your liking). You then stated you and your husband were scared being out in the country, and also mentioned being scared of masked men showing up (which I thought this all was a little odd). We still had a little laugh about this as I assumed you were trying to be humorous. The motion sensor light switch was at the back door to turn off which is noted in the check in book in the kitchen. I had also stated to call me if you needed anything or had any questions at any time, as I would have been able to tell you it was a cat walking around that was setting off the motion, and could have guided you in turning off the motion..

Philip- We are sorry your experience at our property was not what was expected. Unfortunately, the worm situation was due to nature which was out of our control, and as soon as it was mentioned we called pest control (they stated they couldn’t come out until the following week, as Orkin Pest control was out there on the Wednesday before your arrival also). We had also spent many hours the day prior to your arrival spraying/blowing the property to eliminate them before you arrived. One of your guests also noted the worms were bad in her area, so it seems she understood the situtation of nature. We also drove 2 hours from visiting family to spray down the property for you again, as well as address the Methane gas smell (which when we arrived there was not a HUGE smell in the bunk house- It may have filtered through, but it was not how you emphasized). We were not told of the burned out lights, as you are to notify us 30 minutes after you arrive, as we would have addressed it when we came out the day to try to help with the issues you had with the property- you only mentioned worms and methane smell. The toilets are brand new, and there is hard water as this is an old country house, so staining of hard water is hard to avoid- also not addressed when you arrived either as an issue for you. Not quite sure of the is big hole you speak of in the driveway- also another issue you did not address, as we are not sure where this big hole is you speak of. The only issues you addressed was the worms and the methane smell ( and in a rude manner- as were all your messages ), and we addressed them and came out as soon as we could. We were prompt with responding, and willing to help with any issues as of course we want you have a nice stay at our property, and you did not appreciate us going out of our way, nor did you thank us for trying to help. Again, apologies if you did not enjoy our property, but you did not follow protocol in addressing the issues to us, until you submitted a review. If all of these issues had been notified to us that you were unhappy, we would have gladly made other arrangements for you.

Traveler was notified prior to check in the well was going out and the water pressure was low. Guest said it was ok as long as there was running water. We were trying to accommodate the booking and didn't think it would affect our review. I had a well service company dispatched for emergency service and the well could not be repaired. I was onsite all day & evening working on the well, watering grass and filling the pool to ensure guests had a great stay. Entire property has new queen Sealy posturepedic beds from Costco. New stove, microwave and coffee maker and TV in house. New microwave, mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker and TV's in both bunkhouses.
