"This is a small onsen ryokan with limited amenities, compared to other ones we stayed before. The front desk staffs are very friendly and professional. The check in process was amazing! We were seated at the cafe enjoying tea and sweets while the staff explained the info to us. We were staying in the Nakagawa special room on the premium floor. Although the room is a bit small, the Nakagawa wooden furnitures/decorations are so unique and beautiful. The room has an open air onsen bath so we don’t have to go to the public one. However, the view is quite far from the lake and it’s not much to see. We had our dinners at the Japanese private dinning room overlooking the beautiful zen garden. Food was good and service was amazing. The lobby cafe offers really tasty cakes, which it’s a must-have. We also tried the massage, which was surprisingly good! Overall, We had a very good time staying in this onsen Ryokan."
