The beachfront location was great.
Beds: The Master bedroom's bed was very, uncomfortable. 2 "divets" or sags on both sides. Very loud, rusty-sounding squeaking every time you moved.
The "pullout sofa" was so uncomfortable that our friend just slept on it as a sofa.
The back room (black) bed was super lumpy & squishy as well.
The 4th bedroom, next to the Sofa Rm had the best bed. No lamps or tables.
Overall, not the cleanest place we have ever rented. The shower floors were also noisy.
We made do. It was at the beach after all!
WEDNESDAY
9PM: Wednesday night before leaving Saturday, the washing machine stopped working.
THURSDAY
9AM: We called Lewis Realty (LR) sent someone right over around 10:30/11:00am. It was determined we needed a new washing machine.
Here is where it starts to get disappointing.
I called at 4:02pm to get an update. Was told that they were waiting to hear from the owner.
4:08pm - LR called & said the owner is looking into getting a new washing machine. I advised that we have a 2-year-old with us and we need to get laundry done so we can pack to leave.
FRIDAY
10:22am - Called LW for an update. Was told they are working on it. I repeated our concern about getting laundry done. It was our last day at the beach - and now we are in limbo! It didn't seem we were getting anywhere quickly, my husband & I drove to LR's office.
Started with Pat. We asked for someone with more authority, Jordan came out. She seemed to try the hardest. Although there was never anything like, "Hey I'm so sorry this is happening. It must be awful for your vacation to end like this." It was only, "I'm waiting on the owner." No smile. No compassion.
I asked for 15-minute updates - since hours had passed by and we never received a call initiated by LR.
Was told they owner is getting one, waiting to find out when to be delivered that day. "Hopefully this afternoon."
2:34pm - Text we received from Jordan: "Unfortunately, the washer will not be delivered until tomorrow. The owner of Lewis Realty would like to give you $100 for the inconvenience and for your trip to the laundry mat if you choose. Please let me know if you have any questions, thank you."
3PM - Back to LR office (our last day at the beach.) Talked to C. Rackley on the phone. Lot's of back & forth - again, NEVER a "hey, this is just awful. we're so sorry." He asked the owner for compensation, owner declined. LR settled w/half day's rent.
Never coming back here!
