The room was fantastic. We loved it. The beds were so comfortable and the view was so beautiful. We used the onsen and it was magical because we had a full moon. The bath products they have for the guests and the onsen user are the best smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash i have ever used in my 51 years. Beautiful location, ocean front. We got the room with outdoor onsen ocean facing. The room was well maintained. The packaged meals (breakfast and dinner) were well prepared! Both my wife and I loved it! Would definitely come back!

This resort was one of the best parts of our trip to Japan. Coming from the USA, we wanted to enjoy a traditional accommodation. This resort had everything we were looking for: Japanese style room, bedrock sauna, private onsen bath, gendered public onsen bath and an onsen pool. Hotel location was excellent regarding the beach. Probably 50 feet to sand from their front door. Room view was probably the best I have ever seen! Staff was very attentive to us. Food was excellent.

The staff at this hotel are super kind and helpful. The English speakers are few so if you do not speak Japanese just have your translate app handy to help them and yourself. We were a little sad the pool was closed and not maintained but the room was very authentic and really fun to stay in. It was the traditional experience we were looking for and the private onsen in room was wonderful to relax in. Well kept Japanese ryokan near the ocean. Delicious kaiseki dinner. Four private onsen on the upper floor. Also onsen in the room.

We enjoyed our two nights. The hotel is in a small hot spring town that takes about 1 hour train from Atami. There are trains every 30 minutes and the hotel shuttle will come over to the train station to pick up guests whenever a train arrives during daytime. I would suggest wait for the shuttle rather than walking by yourself if you have luggages because it's all up-hill walk. The facility is pretty old but it was kept very clean.
