「We had a lovely stay for just one night at The Airds Hotel. We were a bit late getting in and had to cancel an earlier dinner reservation because we were running behind. But the staff were very accommodating and allowed us to enjoy dinner in the restaurant. They also provided us a takeaway bag for breakfast as we had to check out early the next morning. The hotel room itself was very comfortable. The water in the shower gets scalding hot, BEWARE. There is a sign in the bathroom warning of this...

「What a great little place! It's perfect if you need a home-base and want to tour around the area. It's simple but lovely and well maintained. So clean! Alan, one of the owners is very knowledgeable and not just about the area! He has geology knowledge upon food recommendations upon hiking/walking/climbing trails. We got a lovely reception as soon as we arrived. It isn't fancy but the atmosphere and service are 5 star. 」

「Beautiful room, tremendous view, lots of little touches, e.g. binoculars on the window ledge, dressing gown and slippers, a dram left on the window ledge, a proper bottle of milk left in the fridge, a wee bottle of irn bru, energy bars….. and the list goes on! So very thoughtful. We had the opportunity to speak to both Peter and Nicola and they were genuinely interested in us having a great time, which we did.
