「Very good location. Very clean very tidy would visit again.」

「After quickly booking about 11pm we arrived at nearly midnight. All doors inside were locked and kept ringing the contact number but not manned. There was clearly a door to the rooms but had not been sent a code to get in. My son went round the back and found an open door so we entered that way. We presumed that the only two rooms with a door open were ours! We left early in the morning and again not a single member of staff was to be seen. This issue raises great concern regarding the security...

「WOW! What a stunning place! Which we highly recommend a stay here. From when you initially arrive at the property and travel down the drive you can see the wonderful gardens and beautiful views. We were checked in by Millie, who showed us to our room, which was amazing Unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open, but they did do meat and cheese boards, which we shared one of each, and certainly were not disappointed by the taste and variety. 「Only one member of staff who was pleasant. More of a DIY place. Once grand but terribly run down. We had attic room and stairs very steep. Most odd room with ancient furniture and fittings. Linen and bathroom clean and hot water fine, but not a room I’d recommend!! Breakfast good but wouldn’t return」

「really friendly and accommodating staff. our only issue with our stay was that owing to very hot weather we needed to sleep with the window open to allow cool air to come in off the river. this meant being woken up super early by traffic」

「This hotel has just been taken over by a new company and definitely needs some love and attention. However the staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was of good quality. Bed in our room was a double despite being plenty of room for a king which would have been nicer. Good location for visiting lots of places in Suffolk and would definitely recommend a visit to the Guinness Inn.」

「Super high quality hotel! If you plan to travel for Newmarket horse racing, this hotel must be the best choice. In the hotel, they have a wonderful warm swimming pool and jacuzzi. My husband and I enjoyed them after watching horse races. Although it was a very expensive hotel, we enjoyed very much our life in Newmarket.」

「Very comfortable bed but room far far too hot, window open but directly out side the beer garden so noisy. This would be fine if thoughtful ear plugs were provided. Felt quite exposed opening the window more, but room temperature so high, fan provided was pathetic so did not sleep well at all. I’m sure on a cool day it would be lovely however. Sadly had to leave before breakfast at 8 during weekends - I made a mistake and thought it would be 7.30 still. Lovely place but potential to be fantastic...
