It was elegant and interesting. the restaurant was good. Our shower did not have grab rails I suspect the clientele has a significant percentage of older people. Even for younger folks the tub was a bit awkward to get in and out of

We couldn’t be happier finding this “castle in NY” when I searched! (Celebrating my birthday in a castle every year!) Driving up from VA was so worth it. Added a night to drink it all in! Get ready to be transported back into time!! Service, staff, food all excellent and the bed ultra comfy. Can’t wait to go back.

It is an old castle so plan for it not to be perfect. I do think the furnishings need to be updated. All the furniture is old and banged up…. Not sure if this is done purposely?? We loved our bathroom. We were told breakfast was at 7am but it was not. We came down at 7:15 and they were not even close so we had to go out to a diner…. We had an appointment. Staff was super friendly and nice. The restaurant and bar was cool but only open until 9pm when we were there

We felt very welcomed! My wife has limited mobility and staff were very helpful. (Warning coble stones by entrance are rough to go over with push wheel chairs small wheels) once past that place was easy to maneuver around. Later during stay we met the Owner when we brought my brother with special needs to castle for lunch. Owner was very receptive and welcoming to him and invited him to return with his house mates.

Our stay at OHEKA Castle was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into another era of elegance and grandeur. The castle is absolutely stunning, with beautifully maintained gardens, magnificent architecture, and luxurious rooms that made our stay feel magical. The staff was warm, professional, and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the atmosphere perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. We also enjoyed the delicious dining experience and appreciated learning about the fascinating history of this remarkable estate. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a unique getaway, OHEKA Castle is an exceptional destination. We left with wonderful memories and look forward to returning in the future. Highly recommended!

What an incredible experience....all around. The castle itself is beautiful. The grounds are meticulously manicured. The paintings, sculptures, statues, overall woodwork and furnishings were well represented. Just reading about the history and what the property has gone through and where it is today was heart warming. We had dinner in the courtyard one night and in the main dining room another. The food was delicious...and we are picky eaters. The staff were kind and helpful....especially Rachel and Dennis who are part of the reception team. We were also fortunate to meet the castle owner Gary who was celebrating his 80-something ;-) birthday...to find out he is a fixture throughout the days and evenings as he is still working there along with the staff...which is another high, high mark for any owner. An experience we look forward to having again.
