The ‘old’ house is not in a good state of repair and Flat 7b requires serious cleaning and decor repair . The carpets were heavily stained, as was the sofa (to the point of not using it), with dubious markings in the beds. "It's a very old pub with lots of character,for value it's great, yes it's abit dated ,but that's the character bit, hosts are lovely, food fantastic, big big portions , we only stopped one night as a stop over to Aberdeen, but would certainly stay there again"

"Used the hotel as a base for a weekend break. Bedroom was comfy, quiet, and the shower was a good 'un. Everything I needed... oh, and the breakfast was cooked just the way I like it. I'll be staying again if I'm ever down that way again 👍"

"Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing."
