"We really enjoyed our time at Galleria Midobaru. Even though the hotel was out of the way for guests without cars, it was still worth it. The private onsen in the room was fabulous. "The staff was extraordinarily helpful. There is a onsen that is great just across the road and they give you a discount ticket for it. The rooms were very stylishly decorated and comfortable and large. They have a continental type breakfast sandwich, but we’re not really into breakfast much so we only ate it once. They do have coffee available. The coffee is quite good. We went to the music café just down the street for an interesting and good meal but most restaurant options require a car or a hike. The hotel is just off the expressway so very convenient if you have a car."

"Very new hotel with 14 rooms, loved the simplistic yet unique decor by world renowned architect Kengo Kuma. Hotel exterior blended in very well with the local natural environments. Check-in with the tablet quick and easy, rooms had large balcony/window with double-layered curtains offering ample sunlight during daytime while maintaining darkness for a good night's sleep. Our room was well equipped with large beds, a comfortable dining/sofa area, small cooking area with fridge & cooking hob, clothes washer/dryer, double bathroom sink, etc. overall everything you would need for a long stay including ample car parking in front of the hotel. Looked exactly like the pictures on the hotel website."
