Incredible spacious family friendly getaway

Conveniently located 90 minutes away from NYC, this spacious getaway awaits in historical Hopewell Junction. This is the perfect point to explore upstate New York and enjoy apple picking, wineries, hiking, thrift stores, and fresh air. This phenomenal home has a magical, peaceful feel, and is great for families. Reconnect with each other in the open living spaces, play available board games or dive into the library with classics, fiction and nonfiction books for all ages. There are no televisions in our house as we encourage non screen activities. There is wifi should you choose to use your own devices, and a projector. Find some frogs or turtles as you walk through the acre, explore the wooded back or take a walk around the peaceful neighborhood. Reset yourselves. Bake and cook in the double oven, you can whip up a feast with all the counter space in the big kitchen. Or just relax in the high ceilinged living room looking out to tranquil woods.

Comfortable & Spacious with few caveats

We stayed here as a family group for two nights for a nearby college graduation. The home was spacious, clean, and overall very comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and spread out. The host was responsive and courteous, which we appreciated.There were, however, a few things that future guests should be aware of:The dishwasher was nonfunctional, and we weren’t informed of this until after we had booked, but prior to arrival.The bathroom in the master bedroom has no door. This may make some guests uncomfortable.There is only one “TV” in the home, which is actually a projector with a pull-down screen. It worked fine for us, but it’s worth noting in case you’re expecting a traditional television setup.Despite these issues, the home served our purposes well and provided a good base for our weekend. With a few improvements and more transparency in the listing, it could be an even better stay.

Spacious and beautiful home

This rental is a beautiful and very spacious home. It is set in a very quiet community and has a backyard view into a forest yet you are just minutes away from grocery, restaurants, etc. The owners are very nice and responsive. The house easily accommodates several families as there are multiple rooms in which to gather. A dedicated children’s play room, two offices, family, living, and dining room. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals. We hope to come back and enjoy this rental again.
