Highland Base Kerlingarfjöll

Highland Base Kerlingarfjöll

8/10 Good
"The location is superb, the hotpot is incredible. The rooms are nice, but missing hooks for your clothes, etc. and drawers for your stuff. Breakfast is rather slim, if you like soft cheese with your vegetables or hard-boiled eggs. If you like meat for breakfast, it’s fine. But the thing that annoyed us most was that the head of reception is impatient, not very helpful and rather unfriendly. She gave off the feeling that they’re doing you a favor by letting you stay there. For a place that charges this much, I would expect more sympathetic attention, a more elaborate breakfast, and rooms that are better equipped for a stay that involves lots of hiking."
