"What a great place to stay! Quite, clean, and inviting. This may sound weird, but the shower pressure was amazing and the best shower I had on this trip, lol. Breakfast was very simple and good. Would stay again! "

"The hotel is incredibly convenient to the Inverness airport. I arrived early evening & had an early departure the following morning. The airport was barely a 5 minute walk away, at over 80 I was worried about managing with my suitcase at 5AM. The night manager found a staff member who walked me and the suitcase up to the airport entrance. The restaurant staff were pleasant & helpful, and the food was good. Much better than most airport hotels I've stayed at."

Cluny Hill Hotel

"This is obviously a budget hotel now. The house itself was once a very grand house and it has a fascinating history for sure. The views are good and our room was basic and clean, as well as warm. The bed in our room (56) had not been put together properly though, so there was a metal ridge down the centre that was raised up too high and should have been placed lower. Our main issue though was that we heard loud voices at around 4am. Men were walking around the corridors of the hotel and talking loudly, They did not sound like residents. The hotel gives travellers a key to their bedroom door but it seems that the main entrance to the hotel is open 24/7. There is a person looking after the hotel but he does not sit at the reception. So it seemed to us that people were able to come into the hotel during the night via the main entrance and wander around. This was for us a pretty unpleasant experience and we did not feel safe. The hotel needs to ensure that the main entrance is lockable and that people feel safe. "

"This is a beautiful hotel. Arrived for an overnight stay, booked standard king, checked in, was given a standard twin, as it’s same cost, we accepted, it didn’t matter. Room was pretty small but nice, not a great view, but was adequate with a very small wardrobe (4 hangers), wardrobe had no other storage space, as top shelf had the room safe, iron, fan etc stored there. Now here’s the weird thing, there were no drawers anywhere in the room to store underwear, T-shirts, jumpers etc. Called down to reception thinking we must be making a mistake only to be advised “You are correct there are no storage drawers for clothing in this room or any other”!! After further discussion with the very nice duty manager we were upgraded to a bigger room, really lovely, but still no storage drawers. Not sure what we would have done if we had been there for a week or where the many golfers who are there store anything. As it was, a few items went in the wardrobe and the rest stayed in our holdalls! I will repeat, this is a great hotel, beautiful location, good staff, clean, very nice bar area, lovely breakfast. However, invest in what every other hotel has, a couple of drawers for clothes in the bedrooms and maybe one in the bathroom."
