Wow! The first thing we noticed as soon as we walked in the door was that the entire apartment was immaculate. As you go through the apartment, we found that everything the listing said would be there was there. The furniture was sufficient and the whole place was nicely (not extravagantly) appointed. We stayed in the downstairs apartment - I have a walking disability and there were no steps to climb which was great for me. However, please don't be confused by that comment - the apartment is NOT wheelchair accessible or outfitted for the handicapped. The location was everything it was promised to be - well within walking distance of much of downtown Franklin. The building faces a typical neighborhood street and, unlike one commenter, we never heard a single bit of traffic. Also, the building is NOT located in the middle of some deserted, rusted out, industrial area as one commenter suggested. Yes, downhill from the apartment are a couple of closed manufacturing type buildings but they don't in anyway impact the apartment. And just below the apartment is an older cinderblock building that was never used by anyone the entire time we were there. There is one parking space right next to the apartment building but plenty of extra parking in a gravel lot which, it you need it, also works as a turn-around space. Cindy and I rode my Harley into Franklin and we had no problems parking it safely.
The best feature of the entire place is Chloe Goodman, the owner. She is very friendly, returned every call right away, responded to every email (usually within an hour) and answered every question we had. The second best feature is the price. You get a clean, attractive apartment, close to downtown for a price that is more than fair.
There are only two "cons" that I can think of and they are pretty inconsequential. One (and I guess we are just spoiled) there is no dishwasher. And two, we could hear the upstairs folks walking across the floor. Neither of these will keep us from staying there again.
Perhaps the best recommendation I can give is that Cindy and I will be staying there again soon. Hope these comments help.
