「The main inn is charming. The bunkhouse is a different story, and the gap between the two is wide enough that I felt misled by the photos used to sell the property. The room is tiny. Just know a king bed takes up almost all of the floor space, and the only other furniture are small nightstands, a luggage rack, a folding chair, and a closet with a curtain instead of a door. There is no room to unpack or move around comfortably. The dark green paint and trim look moody in photos, but in person...

「This hotel was totally unexpected. The personal touches that they add are enchanting! Each room is unique and the thought behind them is incredible. They offer a coffee bar during the day and a wine bar in the evening. We were even able to have a free movie outside with popcorn! This is an amazing place! The lobby is like a public living room and there are seating areas with firepits in multiple locations. It is totally walkable to downtown Highlands . . which is so charming! Stay here!」

「This is a beautiful property and so dog friendly! I loved it!」

「The staff was welcoming, friendly and genuinely helpful. The breakfast was good but there was only one worker and she couldn't keep up. It wasn't her fault, they were just understaffed. Overall, a very nice place and I would definitely stay there again.」

「super cozy and great decor a bit close to the road but the staff was very friendly and kind upgrading us to a suite for our honeymoon」

「Clean room and great location to restaurants. We needed a room for one night and did not want to pay a huge price. Carolina Motel fit the bill.」

「Clean room, good breakfast but items were not ready and people had to wait, air and heat, good location with food in walking distance and stores.」

「Dated but fine.」

「My husband and I stayed for a weekend and just loved the property. It was perfect in every way. We found it to be extremely clean, perfectly cozy and just comfortable and charming all the way around. The fireplace and sitting area were just wonderful. Perfect getaway.」

「Very peaceful cottage. Lovely outside porch.」

「not worth $300+」

「A wonderful property. The hosts could not have been any more welcoming. Location to Main Street is ideal and a short walk.」

「Beautiful setting. Very friendly and helpful staff. Autumn went out of her way to help us. Can't wait to come back!」
