"I thought it was such an interesting hotel, obviously steeped in history, which is captured well in its decor and design. The look and feel of it is warm and inviting. The flooring on the second floor seems a bit weak, but other than that, everything was fine. The bed was smaller than what we're used to, but comfortable, the bathroom clean and the temperature pleasant with the window cracked. The front desk staff were very helpful when we needed something or had questions about getting around the city and sight-seeing. We only wished we'd been able to grab a fast, affordable continental breakfast - even just a pastry - before we headed out the door. Would like to stay there again someday!"

"The room was extremely noisy. All night either air conditioning units or cooling systems were running. I had approx 3 hours sleep"

"Room was very clean and more than suitable. The bar was had a good range however, asked for a Irish coffee made with whiskey and it was undrinkable But would definitely stay again "

"Check-in was easy. The room was at the far end of the hotel despite low occupancy. The property was a little tired but the rooms were comfortable, beds and shower good too. Breakfast was good. Be aware that there is a £5 charge for parking that we were not advised of at check in . This surprise was announced at check out the next day"

"Hotel and grounds were very nice and parking was easy. Having seen they had a restaurant, was a little taken by surprise to find out they did not serve dinner. They do provide transport to restaurants in town though"

"Check in was ok. The booking website failed to include an option which included breakfast, so I had to pay separately for that. The hand basin in my room was partially blocked and took ages to drain. .... other than that, it was most comfortable, thank you."
