Conveniently located near popular area attractions and outdoor activities, Fern Creek Cabins offer year round affordable vacation lodging in the beautiful mountains of southern West Virginia. Our cabins sit on 38 private acres of pristine hemlock forest near the north rim of the New River Gorge National River in Lookout, WV. You can check out our 2 bedroom cabin listing #395633.

For those who just want to relax, Fern Creek Cabins offers plenty of space to roam about the
property. Both cabins feature comfortable porches with grills and hot tubs, outdoor fire-pits with chairs and firewood provided, fully equipped kitchens. All sheets and towels are included. Fishing in small pond on property great for kids to catch small bass.

We welcome well behaved pets charging $40 fee for cleaning .

We ask our guests to not smoke in our cabins.

While our 2 cabin's share the peaceful seclusion of the Appalachians, it is but a few short miles over New River Gorge Bridge to downtown Fayetteville, named 'Coolest Small Town in America.' Come visit, and take a walk around. You’ll find a vibrant shopping district and fantastic restaurants, windows to browse with lots to buy, and a lovely town park.

'Endless Wall Trail' lies a mile around the corner which tours one of the wonders of the New River Gorge -- the unbroken cliffline known as the Endless Wall, which follows the rim of the gorge and offers access to dozens of bolted climbing routes. Breathtaking panoramas await hikers as the trail leads along the top of the cliffs through gnarled pines, mossy boulders, and rhododendron thickets.

Have been here 2 times beautiful and easy to get to other places as well the property is a plce to relax and recharge your batteries and so peaceful i would recommended to anyone you will love the getaway and unplug till its that time to go back to work everyone is really nice and someone is always there to answer any question as well if u need someone, totally recommend

Beautiful property!

We stayed in the one room cabin on this gorgeous property. It felt very private/remote but was not very far from all of the activities that we did. The cabin was very cute and clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, and the beautiful surroundings. I would highly recommend this property!

Amazing getaway

This was our first trip to NRG, and this place made our stay so convenient. We were within 10 minute rides of all the attractions. The home feel was great. The seclusion was great for our big family. We had plenty of room to let the kids run and play. We definitely will be planning another trip for next year.

Peaceful getaway

We came for the hiking, but the cabin made us feel like home. Thank you for such a lovely, quiet retreat. We hiked during the day, recovered in the hot tub, and enjoyed the quiet evenings with a firepit. Wonderful!

Amazing stay!

We stayed for three nights total and had an amazing time. Right near new river gorge, accessible to tons of spots to eat and shop. The cottage/cabin itself was perfect, they had a lot of stuff to do like great selection of movies, board games, puzzles, walking paths, hot tub, etc. It was super clean and had so many little details that made for a great stay! Would definatley recommend to others looking to stay near the area and would stay here again :) Thank you Tom and Janet!!

Perfect!

Beautiful and private about 15 easy minutes from Fayetteville. Easy access to various activities just a drive away. My family and i stayed here for three nights and it surpassed our expectations. It was wonderful to relax here after full days of activities. Comfortable, cozy, clean and so quiet. We would recommend 100% and would stay again when returning to the area. Loved it!

Perfect location for a remote getaway!

My hubs and I checked wanted to get away for three nights to celebrate our 6 year anniversary and this was the PERFECT location! The cabin was clean, the hot tub was perfect and it had just about everything you need to celebrate love. It was remote and quiet, but still local to Fayetteville for those who want to go explore and see the bridge. There is no internet or cable TV/streaming, so if you plan on relaxing and watching any TV in the cabin, bring some DVD's with you! Definitely recommend!!!

Perfect cabin retreat

This was absolutely what we needed for a long weekend. The cabin is one of two on the property, and it was so quiet, serene, and private. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, looking up at the stars, and the hot tub was so relaxing, and super clean! There was plenty of firewood there for us to use, a huge plus. The inside of the cabin did not disappoint. Everything we needed/forgot was there including brand new sponges, paper towels, hair dryer,- you name it. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Decent movie selection to watch before bed. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was very elegant; loved the rounded shower! Now I want one in my bathroom! Definitely a 5 star 🌟 stay

Slice of Heaven

Absolutely wonderful. The owners / hosts were so lovely, helpful, and respectful. You drive down a gravel road to the cabin, come to a clearing in the woods, and inside is practically a huge hotel suite. The bathroom is luxurious, the amenities are plentiful. My wife and I are classic over-connected millennials. There is no wifi in the cabin, but trust me, this is a feature, not a drawback. We had cell service for the necessities, but tablets and laptops stayed off for the most part. It was so wonderful that we ended up staying an extra day, which the hosts were more than happy to accommodate for us despite late notice. 100% will stay again!

Peace and Quiet in WV

We had a great experience during our week long stay at the Fern Creek Cabin. The cabin was ready and waiting when we arrived. It was very clean and was represented well in the listing and stocked with everything needed. We enjoyed the large hot tub almost every evening. The remote location and large property provided complete peace and quiet. We were visited by whippoorwills on several evenings singing from the vine covered archway at the front door. We saw deer and or turkey almost every day on the gravel road leading to the cabin. The location was perfect for exploring the area and just a few minutes the Endless Wall Trail and the New River Gorge Bridge. Also centrally located to Hawks Nest State Park and our favorite, Babcock State Park. We recommended the cabin to friends of ours who are planning to visit the area in the Fall and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Spring break vacation

My family had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. It was small but cozy and plenty of room for my family of 4 and dog. We weren't too far from great hiking spots, ziplining, and rock climbing. We had cold weather while we were visiting there, so the hot tub was a great bonus to help warm us up after being out in the cold weather.

Pleasant cabin near New River Gorge

Cabin was clean and nice. Modern bathroom. Clean hot tub. Plenty of movie options. Brochures about local attractions. A little out of the way, but plenty of privacy.

Charming Cabin!

My trip to this cabin was amazing! So secluded, yet very close to SO many trails and parks! I enjoyed every minute. Clean cabin, everything you need, grill, hot tub (a nice plus) and all utensils, dishes, etc. Very Very nice! The Owners are extremely nice and very receptive. I will be going back.
