"My experience at the diplomat in Hollywood Was by far the worst experience I’ve ever experienced at a hotel when I checked in they gave me the wrong room. I had to come back to concierge three times from the 23rd floor, which was such a hassle and also took almost an hour and 30 minutes just to get checked in fully when I came in an hour early for check in to finally be assigned the right room on 26th floor. The restaurants are set up so gratuity is already included so staff has no urgency or kindliness towards recipients. Had the worst experience at the restaurant. Food took over two hours to come then once the food came it took 30 minutes for them to give me silverware my daughter food was cold by then. I had to complain to the manager, which then he did try to make my experience better claim that they were very short staffed and this is why this situation happened but the next night I went to the same area to have dinner and it was the same experience to hour wait for just simple burgers. I could honestly say the diplomat is not worth the amount of money you’re paying to stay there. I personally will never be coming back here, though the hotel itself is beautiful. Staff and workers are terrible."

"The room was clean and as advertised. The staff, especially at the front desk, were warm and inviting. The pool area and beach front were well maintained and relaxing. The drinks were on the pricy side, but good. The food at the per restaurant and served on the beach was shockingly sub-par for variety and uniqueness. However, it was still delicious. Highly recommend getting some new menus. Overall, relaxing & fun. "

"Good location between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, close to a major mall. The hotel is fairly new, clean, and looks modern. That said, I would not return. The biggest issue is the noise. The hotel sits right next to a busy road near Aventura, and the windows are clearly not soundproof. I had one of the worst nights I’ve ever had in a hotel. They moved me, but the damage was already done. I was also promised a credit that never showed up. Parking is another downside — about $40 for a basic suburban garage, which is excessive. Everything else is average at best: amenities, pool, gym, and restaurants. Breakfast is decent if you manage to get service. Overall, not worth the price or the hype. "

"missed our check in by a day because flight was cancelled. room was prepaid. Checked in 1 day later at 10 pm and they said - " you should have called. Your room is now occupied. Take it up with expedia. Then when the hotel was contacted by expedia they denied this and said we had checked in our room was ready. Then had to fight with both expedia and the hotel to get our money back. horrific service from everyone. "
