"Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

I do think the property does need updating a little and it would have been nice if the hot tub had been filled on arrival, the hot tub also needs a cover as unless you like cold feb rain wouldn’t have been enjoyable. "Me and partner come hear for some down time, we had a lovely stay hot tub was a added bonus, all id say was the sofa and mattress was not comfortable other then that perfect, we had food at tomahawk not far and 100% recommended "

"This is an amazing property in a lovely city. Part of The Coaching Inns Group, they are unique historic places with excellent service and fabulous food. There is no elevator, but they graciously moved our heavier luggage. "

"Modern, fresh, well maintained hotel. Clean, quiet, spacious rooms with plenty of charging stations and outlets. Super nice bath with massive soaking tub. Excellent on-site restaurant. What is most noteworthy is the very professional, well trained and delightful staff in both the hotel and the restaurant! Would stay at Sandburn Hall again and would recommend it to a friend. "
