"We had a relaxing couple of days. The staff were first class. Our room was clean & spacious with a lovely double kingsize bed. The service was spot on the food was of good quality,fresh & local I believe.the spa facilities are good and inclusive with extra treatments available for a fee. We came away from there feeling relaxed & refreshed. Would we go back…yes Would we recommend…yes Is there room for improvement..if there is, not by much."

"The location of the house and the views were absolutely amazing - and from a group of walkers who have had many years spending time in the Lakes it was the best that we have stayed as a group.The house as well was really cosy, was clean and fresh, had loads of character, and history, which we enjoyed reading up about. And it was great to see some references and touches around the house in a nod to its past. The track leading up was not as bad as we had thought that it would be, but a really lower car, may have a an issue in a few places with a few lumps and bumps. Once we were there though, we didn't have to drive again as the footpaths run right past the property, and the walking in this area is great."

"The room was ideal, clean and facilities great. The breakfast we had was a buffet style and was excellent,the area was well stocked. Afternoon and evening food was also of good quality as was the bar selection. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and dealt with any help we required. I would definetly stay in this Hotel again.
