The Golden Palace hotel is 'golden bargain' as it's very reasonably priced and right in the center of a busy area with lots to do, but yet feels like an oasis of tranquility 😇
The staff are very friendly and helpful and even let me store a bag for a month for a modest fee.
The large breakfast, served by the lovely Hebbe, is an added bonus as it's included in the price.
The rooms are spacious and clean, although I think the comforter/Duvet in the room I had could do with a laundry as it had a noticeably unpleasant odor.
Also, I was woken during the night by a door slamming in a neighboring room and I think this may be due to mechanical issue that needs to be addressed.
I even got a free room upgrade on check in! 😀
Overall I can highly recommend this hotel in downtown Cairo ☺️

The furniture was in excellent condition, the bathroom spacious with constant hot water. I requested additional cleaning and it was done immediately. Breakfast was very tasty, especially the pastries and juice. The place truly deserves its high rating.

This is a value stay. Close to the city center. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast is good.
The rooms are old but that is reflected in the price.
Linen was clean, the room had its own bathroom and air conditioning.
