The Chequers Inn

10/10 Excellent

"I would recommend the chequers inn lovely and clean staff all friendly house keeping daily which is a nice touch pub next door to get breakfast which was very good etc with plenty of cereals and fruit etc we got an evening meal each night which was served looking yummy 😋 all staff very friendly throughout good base for us as we went to yorkshire show 🙂🙂🙂"

"Generally the stay was great - the hotel seems to be incredibly warm, and in the heat it wss difficult to keep the room cool. We did request a fan from reception which they brought straight up. The bed whilst the app states double when booking wss not a full double in size so was very cramped trying to sleep. No lock on the inside of the room either which had I been alone I would have asked to be moved."

"Beautiful bar, restaurant and beer garden. Staff were really pleasant. We didn't dine here during our stay, apart from breakfast which had a good selection. Cosy double room was small but had everything we required. The lift was being replaced while we were there but should be sorted very soon. We would stay again."

"We were in room 205 which is up quite a few stairs to the top. This was not communicated to us. It could be a problem with people with mobility issues. The location is in the centre so good accessibility to the area. We had a problem with the code getting in but this was soon sorted after contacting the staff. We also had an issue with the remote on the tv. It wasn’t pairing until we signed into the WiFi for Deuce TV but then the next day it worked on the normal WiFi. This maybe needs to be mentioned on the instructions left in the room. The room was adequate for our needs. Very clean and nice touch of complimentary water and tea/coffee/biscuits. The added fan in the room was welcoming due to the heat and being on the top floor. There is noise from the street below but this was not a major issue. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, kettle & toaster & four hob rings. Despite the small issues we encountered we had a comfortable stay here and would recommend to others and definitely look at staying here again."

"The Camberley is a hidden jewel in Harrogate I usually stay with a friend’s B&B but sadly it was booked for the week I wanted to be there. I took a chance on the Camberley and was very happily surprised. Kimberly was very lovely to deal with and she was very responsive throughout my day. The location is fantastic as it in near restaurants, pubs and transportation. I would recommend this B&B to anyone, check it out yourself."
