The property is larger than the photo’s capture. making it a great place to gather. My only suggestions would be to fix the outdoor light it is very dark at night and one of us fell coming in. Luckily they fell in to the bushes no damage done. The bedrooms are quite spacious which was also a pleasant surprise.
Every year we go to Harpers Ferry this was our second time renting this house we absolutely love the layout there was plenty of room for everyone we got to eat dinner as a family , the deer in the front yard all weekend was amazing, every bed in the house was comfortable
Great location next to battlefield, and the layout worked well for our group of 10 friends. Not as easy to get to the Potomac bike trail as we hoped, but was doable.
The house is very large and well suited for a multi-family trip. The location is fantastic, easy access to biking, hiking, and river activities. The KOA facilities were very popular with the kids - the pool and the mini-putt course were big hits.
The internet connect was a bit spotty which caused a few challenges for folks trying to work or watch streaming services.
It was a fine house in a really good location.
This home was absolutely perfect for our stay. Check in was a breeze with the electronic lock. After getting settled at the house and reading through the very thought out Welcome Notebook, we walked over to the immacuately kept KOA general store. Everyone there was very kind and full of information about the town of Harper's Ferry, as well as the amenities that we could use at the KOA. We all enjoyed the Putt Putt Golf and the pancake breakfast in the mornings. It is a short walk over from the property and it worked out perfectly for us in that we got our morning coffee. There's also a specialty coffee shop right next to the General Store if you'd rather have that. Back at the house, everyone had their own privacy when needed, but the large kitchen table and fenced, backyard outdoor area were perfect to bring us together. The hot tub and fire pit are very well maintained, with ample, QUALITY adirondack chairs and tables to enjoy. The grill looks great, although we didn't get the opportunity to use it. When we requested an iron (there is an ironing board on property) one was brought to us in no time. We were in the area for a short weekend to attend a wedding in Purceville, VA, but really wish we had more time to spend in and around Harper's Ferry. The town is beautiful and welcoming. (Rabbitt's Hole is a great downtown restaurant!)
All in all everything was great. Only thing I could recommend is perhaps a lighter or matches for the fire pit and maybe some foil, plastic wrap, etc for the kitchen. We didn't use the kitchen too much at all, so it wasn't a problem for us, but if you were cooking, it would be a small convenience. All other toiletries, paper towels, etc were ample. The linens and beds were very "crisp" and no one complained about their mattress being uncomfortable. Love the split plan of the bathrooms!!
The home is very nice with a lot of space. The host was quick to respond. As a returning guest I guess I expected a little more being that the price more than doubled since my last stay. We had a bit of trouble with the heat & hot water which the host did send maintenance quickly but I expected maybe some follow up or empathy to my issues. Couldn’t get one of the TVs to connect to internet. Other places have supplied firewood & other necessities such as plastic wrap & foil in the kitchen & laundry detergent. The listing was accurate but for the price I guess I just expected to see those little things. We did have fun & enjoyed our stay overall.
The house was clean and comfortable, and perfect for our family gathering. The room with four twin beds was great for our grandkids. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The location within hiking distance to Harper's Ferry was a big plus, and that the house is dog friendly an even bigger plus. The only other thing I could have wished for was that the back yard had been completely fenced so the dog could have joined us outside off leash. I highly recommend this property for family gatherings, especially those including four-legged kids!
The house and the amenities were awesome. Great hot tub, plenty of room and liked the kitchen/ coffee.
The only negatives are the slow WiFi and manhole in the middle of patio had some off putting smelling liquid coming out of it.
The property was just as we expected. It was clean when we arrived and communications with Jessica was quick and easy. Tons of parking was great too.
We had a great time. Thank you!
We enjoyed all the amenities that were close. The home was as described. Beautiful and more then enough room to accommodate our family

Very nice, spacious and great for large groups or families
We had a group of ten and the McCoy House was perfect for us. With five bedrooms we had room to spare. The house has a bunk room with four single beds, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, and 2 with King beds. We really enjoyed the patio with its fire pit and hot tub! This place really has a lot to and we enjoyed it all. Andnits so close to Harper’s Ferry and all the attractions. We will definitely be back.

Nice house neighboring KOA campground and hiking
We stayed here for a short weekend away from DC. There are multiple grocery stores a short drive away and we bought firewood at the KOA store. The house was clean and the kitchen is fairly well stocked. We had 8 people and there was plenty of plates, cups, etc for us. The bedrooms are great for group trips, four are basically the same size with queen or king size beds and the other room with 4 singles would have been good if we had more friends or a family with children. Bathrooms are good sizes and in good condition. Plenty of parking for our 3 cars, if you wanted to squeeze you could probably fit 8 on the driveway.
We hiked one day we were there, the Harpers Ferry visitor center is a quick 10 minute walk down the road from the house and from there you can take the shuttle into town or get onto a number of hiking trails. Definitely would recommend staying here if you're looking for easy hiking access and want more amenities than camping. We were there in the winter but in other seasons we would have been able to use the KOA pool and mini golf right next door.
Overall we'd recommend this house for group or family trips! Bonus - pet friendly!
