Despite telling us reception was open to 11pm, there never was anyone there. We had to drive down to the service station multiple times after being given a dirty room and being locked out of our room on the second night. Staff were less than helpful and just dismissed the issues.

Really well situated 2 minutes from the railway station. 4 minutes from centre of the old town. Carpark easy to get into right at the side of the hotel. Tea and coffee in the room.Staff were really helpful.

Room was clean but showing age. Door handle to bathroom broken and hairdryer did not work. We had to change the fan as that was faulty. Reception were a bit put out because we asked for a replacement so we didn't mention the other faults.
Breakfast was fantastic.
We had the windows open because of the heat and it was not too noisy outside
Overall the hotel was very dark , almost as though they were saving money by not turning on lights.
Probably would stay again but not in the summer

"Chdck in took nearly 1 hour becuase staff couldn't find the booking. Dirty room. Stains on the towels and toilet. Leaky shower head, no basic amenities like kettle, tea/coffee. Unthinkable for a "4 star" hotel. This hotel is more like a 2 star. Only positive was the location."
