"This is a little gem of a boutique hotel very close to the Ganges. The neighborhood is a little rough, but transportation can take you nearly to the front door and once through it, you’re transported into a world of elegance and comfort. The chef in the restaurant is first class and the food absolutely superb. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with plenty of amenities. The views were sensational across the valley. "Lovely hotel. Nice staff, very comfy bed and great location. I wish they had sent me the info about the pickup rickshaw when I made the booking, and not the night before I was supposed to arrive"

First it is an old Haveli (over 120 years old) that has been converted into a boutique hotel. The staff was excellent, polite, well mannered, took time to listen to guests needs and address them.
The rooms were spacious, clean and well kept. Furnished with antique furniture but facilities were of todays standards.

What is great?
Overall Property location, staff, rooms and maintenance and services are great. You can walk to Har ki Paudi and Roopeway to Mansa Devi easily in addition to being close to famous eateries and markets.
What are the challenges?
1. Near by area stinks of cow dung and is messy (but then this is Har ki Paudi, Haridwar).
2. From Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Parking to the hotel walk is challenging if you have heavy bags or strollers as the area is heavily crowded area). Though the...

The staff at Brinjal hotel really made the experience. From greeting me with Chai when i first checked in, to lending me heaters and adapters to charge my electronics, giving me print outs for major site and events to caring when i got lost one night and was late to return to the hotel. As a woman traveling alone in India the staff at Brinjal Hotel in Haridraw stood out as one of the friendliest, most helpful and caring hotels in a month of hotels on India. I highly recommend them!

Overall a very great experience. The staff were friendly, the room was spacious, bathroom was good. We had our breakfast at the restaurant there. Food was tasty and very filling. Only thing was that this place is ~4km from Har Ki pauri where there are quite a few temples and the Bazaar for shopping. If you have a car with you, then even the distance is not a problem. I would definitely stay there next time I visit Haridwar.

The Team at hotel Mahadev Rishikesh was very nice and accommodating. The manager even went out of his way to help in matters outside of the hotel and I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, it is steps away from Neem Karoli Baba’s temple which was very nice. Oh, and they cook very delicious food as well!
