The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world in endless ways, including how we're able to safely travel. The following tips will help you navigate these new challenges and get you ready for your escape to Hano Island:

• Find out if any travel restrictions apply to your origin and destination before committing to a flight. Also check if there are any special conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as health testing.
• When you pass through airport checkpoints, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to briefly lower it for identification purposes. Travelers who refuse to wear a mask may face civil penalties and may also be escorted from the building.
• Do not hand your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Rather, you should position the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
• TSA is now permitting passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on bags. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• Remove items from your pocket, like your wallet and phone, and place them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will minimize handling during screening.
• If you're taking food on the plane with you, place it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA agent will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for inspection.
