He was very patient and especially helpful to our multiple queries and tried his best to help. We were very grateful for his sincerity in wanting to help. "It is a simple ryokan which shows how it used to be. Very serene and quiet place with a small but beautiful onsen (hot pool and outside rockpool). Right there he walk to the Buddhist temple along the Kansii River starts. A most outstanding forest walk with many Buddhist features along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and that 2 hour walk."

"This traditional Japanese Inn is thoroughly modern with excellent facilities, rooms, Michelin quality food, and helpful staff. We want to call out ‘Mikki’ who was super kind and helped us with any language barriers we had. The entire restaurant staff was amazing and we are grateful to meet the chef. The onsens were also wonderful. A room here with breakfast and dinner included is an excellent value."
