"Well located for Runcorn Station. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The term ‘receptionist’ should be used loosely. He was also the barman, chef and was decorating the bar area in a hint of violent green. More paint will be needed as out of every 5 litres, 2 litres were applied to the woodwork and the remainder to every other surface in a 14 mile radius including floors, walls, passing combine harvesters and a 2 border collies. The room was adequately clean, but clearly maintained, either, by the same contractors who were responsible for looking after Chernobyl or by The David Blunkett & Stevie Wonder Repairs Agency. The ‘No Smoking’ Rule in the rooms seemed to be a request, and not a rule. The other ‘Guests’ seemed to be members of the Russian Olympic Shot-put Team, most of whom seem to have had an unfortunate incident with said Shot-put as their teeth were like Piano Keys on a NAAFI piano - some black, some white, but most missing. A lot of the female ‘guests’ appeared to be women of dubious morale standards who would di anything for £5, a grab bag of Wotsits or a can of White Lightening. The best thing about my stay was Sunday Morning when I left."

"Used just for one night. Staff friendly, room was nice. Great bteakfast. "

"Struggled to get in and out the bath to have a shower as there was no handrail - I felt very unsafe. Even if there had been an additional non-slip mat available to go into the bath it would have helped. Apart from that the staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was perfectly fine. Impressed that there was an iron and ironing board in there and I didnt gave to ask for one. Sound proofing not quite so good as I could here next door room late into the night. I would stay again but ask for a room with stand alone shower"

"Arrived to food in the fridge, scraps in the sink and a dirty bathroom. No hand towels or soap, and the beds looked slept in. There was a phone charger plugged in at the sofa. Looks like someone is living there. The landlord refunded in full, seems their cleaner may have misled them so not necessarily their fault but wouldn't stay again"

"Property on main road but still a very quiet location. Staff very welcoming and rooms clean. Well maintained and adequate size. Breakfast was included which was a bonus and was the usual uk buffet style. Staff were overworked and we had to wait for a table to be be cleaned as it was busy but this was quick. Overall very good value for a nice hotel and would stay again if in the area."

"The hotel was ok. The staff were lovely. There was a piece of rubbish under the chair in our room and a sticky coffee cup mark on the unit by the bed and we had to get out key card reset twice as it stopped working. These things wouldn’t put us off from staying there again as the overall experience was ok. "

"Overall a nice hotel highlighted by Bri on reception and many other helpful and friendly staff. Their was no TV remote (should have been checked I think by house staff) however the staff did all they could to find another and sort the problem. Our family room had lots of space and everything was clean. Breakfaat was good as were the facilities of pool, sauna, jacuzzi. Our only change would be not to have dogs staying; one dog howled for a good while at 7.30 am on the sunday: I think guests had left it alone in the room."
