Nice location, staff are very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to Eastern Guangzhou station where is available to take a fast speed train to Hongkong. Restaurants and shops around. Very comfortable room, clean and quiet. Amazing city!

Good location, Old Hotel

The location is good for visiting Canton complex and there is a big shopping mall within 5min walking distance. but hotel is old and staffs don't speak much of English so you don't expect much of concierge service from the Hotel.

Old but gold. Old hotel, old design and deco, but clean and well-maintained. Nice and firm bed, quiet rooms ensure you'll enjoy a good night's sleep. 3 restaurants, 2 of which the dim sum and Japanese restaurants are highly rated. There's a convenience stall in the lobby as well. There's a spa which we didn't get to try. The gym is basic but functional.

Hotel is pretty aged, needs a make-over badly. Lighting in the room is very dim. Saw a huge cockroach dash across the lobby which freaked out some guest !!

Badly needs new lighting

Rooms are pretty small but more importantly lighting is bad...they only use the dim orange lights which makes the room look really dark

This is an older property. The room was very small and looked as if from the 80's. A little tacky. The AC didn't work so well, but it was clean. The staff's English skills are not great; I got the impression they cater more to the local crowd than foreigners. The Japanese restaurant in the lobby is really good, and the best thing is that it's a five-minute walk to Guangzhou East railway station.
