"An older facility that, in my view, was definitely showing its age. Should have confirmed that I was booking a non-smoking room but didn’t. End up with cigarette smell and cigarette burns on the furniture. Was late and the staff member that checked me in was having a bit of a hard time. Was a room for the night at a good price on my WV trout fishing safari."

"From the time we arrived the staff were very accommodating and happy to assist. The standard king bedroom was better than expected, so no need to upgrade. Each night we tried a different restaurant and the food was incredible. The day spa pass was worth it! Thanks to all the staff who made our anniversary extra special. We will definitely return."

"Wonderful location. The cabin was immaculate warm and inviting. So cozy and well maintained. We brought our meals and the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The view from the deck was amazing and the night sky on the clear nights absolutely breathtaking. Short drive to Green Bank and the Cass Railroad. We had a wonderful relaxing vacation in the peaceful hills of West Virginia. The owner Jim quickly responded to our emails and the one phone call. So important to us. Thank you for this special retreat. We recommend this location and we hopefully will return next spring."

"Had a great fishing trip with family. Plenty of room for 4 adults and 3 kids. Some birders in the family were really excited about the wide variety of migrating spring warblers. Incredibly peaceful and quiet setting. Star gazing was also amazing. Much better than on Snowshoe mountain because of light pollution from the resort. Only downsides were a couple of the showers weren’t functioning well but likely can be fixed easily. Also had evidence of mice which isn’t too surprising given the wooded setting."
