Great Shefford Vacations from ￥266,885

Overall the property was lovely, the foyer was a highlight. We also appreciated the luggage lockers and bathrooms to freshen up until we could check in at 4pm. However, we were most disappointed with the size of the room - the photos are very false in their advertising - we had a very small ‘double’ bed that was pushed up against the window. With a desk/chair at the end of the bed with out any standing room between. On images it appears *much* more spacious with a bedside table on both sides and more space surrounding. It was a struggle to even open up both of our suitcases on the floor - it was just so small - definitely the smallest hotel room we’ve ever stayed in. Also - we were aware and it didn’t bother us at all, but you definitely can hear the trains behind and they are loud. Credit given where it’s due, the hotel was very clean and we appreciated that it was very fresh. The cafe in the foyer had great coffee, and we loved a fresh pressed juice of a morning. I would definitely recommend the hotel for someone travelling alone, or perhaps booking a bigger room for a couple.

We chose to stay here due to its proximity to R.A.H. The check-in was easy and the receptionist friendly. Not overally welcoming but friendly. Room was very basic and dated. Windows dont open properly. Bed was large enough but matraces were cheap and old. Pillows hard rock and very uncomfortable. We had evening drinks at the bar and they were good quality and reasonably priced. Having had a discount for our stay, the price was just short of reasonable for the room but paying the full price would have left us very dissapointed. Will consider for future stays if visting RAH.
