I had a pleasant stay at Devossion by Live Aqua Playa del Carmen. The room was spacious with a beautiful oceanfront view, and the room service was excellent, available multiple times a day, including in-room dining. The beach was lovely, though there was some seaweed during the last couple of days; the staff did a great job cleaning it each morning. It’s worth noting that the beach isn’t private, as it’s public by law. There were a few downsides: there was a constant sound of running water coming from upstairs, and nearby construction could be heard at times. The resort also seemed a bit understaffed. Although there are four restaurant options, we often had to wait 20–30 minutes for a table and another 45 minutes to an hour for food. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, with the exception of one person, Ms. America. Overall, despite a few inconveniences, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The resort was amazing! Service was exceptional and so was the cleanliness. Restaurants were all very welcoming and the food was outstanding. The resort could use some day and night life. Nothing to do past 10pm

The property is very beautiful, and the food is great, but honestly, the customer service was not good. I would also suggest that the steakhouse hostess and the man who was always there have a better attitude with customers. I didn’t like that everyone kept asking for tips, as I didn’t notice that in other hotels. We originally planned to stay three days but ended up staying only two and decided to change hotels. Overall, we stayed in four different hotels, and the customer service at the others was amazing. I loved Hyatt Ziva — 10/10, highly recommended. We will definitely return. You get exactly what you pay for.

Lovely property. Staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable stay. Resort is quiet and secluded. Food was amazing.
