「This motel is on the main road (US-60 or Ash Street) but was quiet during the holiday period. It is ideally situated near Hill Street, which goes into the historic district less than a mile away. Fast food is nearby, as is hiking at Round Mountain Park. El Rey is a self-described "vintage motor court" so looks the part outside. But the interior room was large enough, the bed mostly comfortable, the spacious shower always had hot water, and the wall heater worked well, with the usual humming....
「It is a small hotel in a tiny town - my expectations weren’t very high. However, the room was beautiful! Clearly newly renovated, and not with band-aid fixes to hide things but well done. Breakfast was very limited - nothing that I could eat being allergic to both gluten and dairy, but my husband enjoyed the made-to-order waffles and the in-room microwave and fridge made it possible for me to bring and make food that I could eat. Overall, I would stay here again. 」
