The apartment was great in itself but the people hanging around out front were a nightmare. There were people throwing stones and bit of wood at each other outside my window (my apartment was overlooking the alley at the back) and seemingly doing drugs there too. Nearly constant group of dodgy blokes just hanging out all day every day. Shame because otherwise the apartment is excellent.

The room was well equipped with everything necessary for a self catering stay. The staff were all very nice and helpful The room we had faced the square and unfortunately the few days we were there had a carnival with rides going on the better part of each day and into the evening till 10.00pm. Not something the hotel had control over but would be helpful for guests to know it was happening in advance .

Excellent location with lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The kitchen was fully stocked with a fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and all the cooking and eating utensils. Laundry facilities were an added bonus. But most importantly the staff were excellent and extremely friendly and helpful.

Nice rooms, clean and well appointed. Lovely old building with high ceilings. As other reviews have pointed out, very noisy at night with deliveries to local shops and drunks in the street outside. That the hotel provides free earplugs by each bed is a nice touch, but unfortunate that these are a necessity. The hot water was also broken for a long time during our stay which was very inconvenient for showers etc. Decent cost for rooms of this size in this location, but there is a reason for this comparative value.

Beautiful, secure apartment

Very warm welcome from the friendly and helpful gentleman on reception. Apartment was beautiful, clean and well equipped. Room 104 looked onto an alleyway off the Square, whilst there was no view, it was quiet to get a good sleep. Only minus- the sofa was not that comfortable, very hard, reminded me of the subway carriage seating. This certainly didn’t detract from a lovely stay, the apartment was stylish and welcoming with everything you’d need and a superb bed - would definitely stay again

The accomodation was easy to find, we booked parking at local Jamaica St car park as advised in enquiry after booking, we were not told about the parking discount when I asked about it even though this information was available after check in which was too late as had already pre purchased the parking. The apartment itself is in a good location and close to transport options , supermarket and restaurants.

Nice Apartments, Good Central Location

Really nice apartments in a very central location. I recommend this place to stay. It was a bit of a faff to provide identity after booking and before staying, but it was only a minor inconvenience.

Clean and convenient

The Somdor Teacher is on the pedestrian Buchanan Street in the old Teachers Whiskey Building. It is super convenient- located by the subway and within a few blocks of the train and bus stations. The staff was wonderful, the apartment was clean, and easy to use laundry facilities. Even though it was in a busier area of town the apartment was quiet and peaceful.

This was such a cute little room. We were on the top floor with skylights. The amount of natural light in the apartment was awesome. The bed was comfy, the shower was nice and having a kitchen was great. It is centrally located with a subway station right outside your door (literally). There were lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The only thing is that businesses close pretty early in this area which gives way to Enoch square feeling a little bit unsavory.

Central Glasgow stay

Very clean apartment in an ideal location in the centre of Glasgow. Reception only staffed part time which did make us feel a little isolated. One evening outer door from the street wouldn't lock which was a little concerning in this part of Glasgow.
