For the price this hotel underwhelms in every way. In room phone not working and was unable to order in-room dining at 8pm after a long day of travelling. Had to go to the reception desk and give my order in person. One item was completely forgotten. Bathroom needs updating, spa bath cracked and stained. Shower door wouldn't close properly causing water to spill outside of the shower. Twice when I stood at the reception desk to make an enquiry I was attended to very slowly despite no other guests being present the staff was scrolling on his phone. When I enquired about the possibility of paying for a late check out I was "yeah not gonna happen" as the hotel was fully booked. Not being able to do a late check out didn't bother me but the way I was told it wasn't possible was unprofessional and rude. Would not stay here again.

We stayed here for one night and would not want to stay for longer due to the noise from surrounding bars/entertainment which went on until 3am. The room was large with a huge en-suite but needs to be renovated due to deteriorating/broken floor tiles.
Could not fault the friendly helpful staff.

Great stay, good clean & comfortable room, very quiet & with good bedding, friendly helpful staff.
APX World Square is in a very good location, with easy to access to Chinatown light rail, Museum station 5 min walk & Central 10 min walk, very close to Capital Theatre & easy public transport to other Theatre's Including Royal, Lyric & Opera house. Every possible choice of food & drink requirements, Coles supermarket 3 min walk in the World Square centre.
We will certainly be considering staying again for future visits
