"Stayed here for 1 night from May 5-6. Honestly the view from the room and the location were the redeeming qualitie of this hotel. The rooms are EXTREMELY dated. While the room was clean, because of wear n tear it made the room look uncleaned. From stains in the carpets, chips on the dated furniture and the bath tub that is waay to high and overused. The staff were friendly and helpful, we accidently locked ourself out of our safe and they immediately sent someone up to fix. Owners need to reinvest and update the rooms for the prices they are charging per night. Unfortunately because of this I would not stay here again"

"Everyone is special at the Strand. Staff takes pride in their work! Although the rooms are small, it is still good value for the area. It’s in a fantastic area to walk the themes and visit Big Ben along with shopping on Oxford! "

"The room was a bit smaller than the image let on, the air conditioning wasn't as strong as stated by the staff so some nights were warmer than others and the air conditioning only goes to 18C at the lowest and 23C at the highest. However, service was ready when needed. Room stayed cleaned. They need smaller wash rags the ones provided were essentially just towels along with larger towels. The breakfast was not really that great it was more so smaller options. Overall this location was good enough for just having a place to rest and keep your things. Other than that I wouldn't recommend it or visit again. It stays true to its minimalist tone. However, there's minimalist and just unreasonably cramped. The basement has a weird odor as well not sure if it was mold or some sewage was broken but you smelled it after leaving for a while. The staff was kind but not all too accommodating nice people though. The location of it being on Old street was a great plus other than the visit itself. "

"We stayed 3 weeks in total. The place was clean and well managed. It was very good to have kitchen and a washing machine for our long stay. Unlike most air bb we have stayed, there was a front desk person who were helpful and we could ask any questions we had in person. Housekeeping staff was excellent! They were very nice and changed our towels, linen, and emptied our bins often. It is located in very fun and lively area not super touristy. A lot of street arts along with few Banksy sites. Walking distance to great restaurants and bars. Not far from Brick lane. Highly recommend especially for a long stay."
