"One of the most fantastic properties you can visit in Mt. Shasta region. The lodge has all amenities and views from the kitchen is amazing. The true highlight though is the amazing view of Mt. Shasta and the region from the grounds. The horses and cattle were wonderful to watch, we saw a Lynx with its baby hunting, if interested in fishing it has 2 great ponds to fish. The location is also quite convenient with EV charging outlet onsite (get your cables) and a 350kw Tesla supercharger in Weed just 5 mins away. Overall I would definitely visit the propert again and hopefully stay a full week, to truly enjoy the property and explore the region."

"Such a gem of a find! We absolutely loved this cabin. The pictures could never truly capture the comfort, warmth, and peacefulness this special place has to offer. Our pups especially loved having their very own forest to explore right in the backyard! It’s also just minutes from town, with plenty of fun little shops and wonderful restaurants to enjoy. And I honestly don’t think we’ve ever slept in a more comfortable bed! We left feeling rested, relaxed, and already wishing we could stay a little longer. Such a beautiful, cozy getaway—we can’t wait to come back! "

"I have stayed at MANY temporary homes through VRBO and AirBNB. Our stay at the Lakeside Stone Cottage is BY FAR my favorite! My family of four stayed in the cottage for four nights. The home was charming and clean. It had everything we needed to cook meals. The beds were comfortable. The washer and dryer worked well. What set this place apart was the host and the location. Our host was extremely communicative. She was responsive to every query we had. She helped us find hikes in the area. The location is just as described, but even better. It is so close to Mount Shasta, hiking, swimming, waterfalls, and charming towns. The home itself is secluded and quiet. Sitting on the back porch, you hear nature! You also see deer, squirrels, spoonbills, rabbits, ducks, and birds! At night, you can see bats keeping the insect population in check. The lake is beautiful to look at all day long. The hosts provided a canoe and a paddleboard. My family spent an entire day on the lake. We had the WHOLE LAKE to ourselves, minus seeing one family of four that kayaked by and fished far away from us for a short period of time. This cabin was perfect for us! I have already recommended it to all my friends. Book this place!! You will not regret it!!"

"This is the perfect place for a multigenerational family. There is plenty of space for gathering and plenty of spaces for privacy. The lake was quiet and very peaceful. We enjoyed touring the waterfalls."
Outdoor Adventure Haven - 15 Mi to Mount Shasta!

"We really loved this stay. Great views of Mt Shasta right out the windows, and from chairs in the yard. Quiet, private and tranquil (except when the generator came on, see below). Lots of space for 2 couples. We were inspired by various books found at the home, about spirituality and personal growth. Not a bad drive to Mt Shasta City, and actually a very good location for driving up to hiking in the mountains just west of Weed, such as the Deadfall Lakes, Mt Eddy, and the PCT.The biggest negative issue for us was the generator coming on in the middle of the night despite our understanding that we did not do anything that provoked it. Not too bad for the far bedroom, but totally startled the folks in the near bedroom (with the generator right outside it). Once we learned how to turn it off at night, we were okay, but that was a little tricky). The place was big enough that we could all meet together of each of us 4 could find our own spaces to hang out individually. Generally, it was a really special time, and place for us. And the Host was very reachable and supportive. My wife felt a sweet and sacred resonance with the hosts and their contact person, we all felt that way. Our time was so magical there, we hope to be back sometime again, thank you so much!"

"We had a great one-night stay with our large group (including our dog and 4 kids). The home was clean, spacious, and comfortably accommodated everyone without any issues. Plenty of room to spread out and relax.The only minor hiccup was that the induction cooktop didn't work well for us as it started creating smoke when we tried to use it. Worth noting for future guests who plan to cook during their stay.Check-in is done through the motel reception, which was straightforward. Overall, no complaints. I would recommend for groups looking for a clean, roomy spot for a short stay!"
