「Upon my arrival I received a genuinely warm welcome from Chris and Julie. My room was beautifully presented and very clean with a modern look. The breakfasts were excellent and Chris was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.」

「Very easy check in very clean rooms had evening meal before going out small menu but very good quality food easy to get back in hotel after coming back when closed Had breakfast the next morning lots of choice with cereals yogurts fruit and more before full cooke breakfast」

「We love staying at this hotel. The staff are really helpful nothing is too much trouble. The hotel also has some really thoughtful touches like providing rain ponchos for guests heading to shows at the outdoor open air theatre. When we came back from the show we were abit cold so we loved that we could grab a complimentary hot chocolate from the lounge. They are also showing the World Cup at the hotel Cinema. Touches like this make it a really special place to stay. Can’t wait to visit again!」

「We stayed over for the concert at the open air. The hotel was clean and well maintained- all the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was clean. The bar was lovely and the restaurant and breakfast was perfect. The en-suite was very small but clean. The only thing that would have meant full star rating would have been a better parking arrangement, - a quality mattress and blackout curtains. That being said we would definitely stay here again.」

「I was shocked how much space and how great the view was for the price. This is an old mansion. It has creeks on the floors which I found charming, but all the amenities the shower, the bathtub, and the other bathroom the kitchen were perfect. The bed was very comfortable. We only tried one of the two bedrooms in our apartment. We only rented for a night, but felt welcomed and welcome to return. I recommend this property as it was one of the best I have stayed in in the UK.」

「This was such a lovely place to stay. We had a room in the annex. We could hear other people come and go and talking in another room, but quiet other than that. The pub was very nice.」

「Beautiful listed building, dining room looks out onto large garden, stayed in a quiet garden view room. Food, amenities, attitude of staff all excellent. Would highly recommend staying here, everyone was cheerful and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.」

「I genuinely think this hotel is just basic. For the price you would expect more better looking interior, freshness/cleanliness or service. It’s got no parking on site contrary to what they put up except street parking. The stench of old rug mixed with moisture welcomes you upon entrance, hallway small. Staff just about okay, breakfast; basic stuff you can get from any bnb setting. The only positive was the size of the room. Again we chose that cos of our family size. Sorry, it’s a no from me....

「The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our luggage was safely stored when we checked out. The room was tidy and had a nice bathroom. Included in the room was a kettle and a nice selection of coffee and tea. The breakfast had a good variety of tasty food including a full cooked breakfast, omelettes, toasties and smoked salmon bagels. The hotel is close to North Bay beach, Peasholm Park, Scarborough Castle, South Bay Beach, the North Bay Miniature Railway and Sealife Scarborough...

「Such a lovely traditional pub with good accommodation, situated in a pretty rural setting, a short drive away from Pickering. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. My husband and I had an evening meal in the pub which was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning. Pet friendly. Would definitely recommend the Horseshoe Inn.」

「Toilet seat was hanging off. Had to wait to get checked in, sea gulls kept us awake all night. Not an aera I recommend.」

「Booked for just one night to attend a nearby wedding. Room was a twin in a block of 4 located in the car park behind the pub. Modern bathroom and comfortable bedroom with TV, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc. Rooms are traditional rather than modern but fit in with the main pub. Breakfast was excellent - full English with cereal/juice/toast all available. Handy for many east coast locations with lovely scenery very close.」
