Beachfront Palms Resort an Ascend Collection Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Stayed for a few nights with my family and the room had good amenities and was clean. The wifi also worked well. We had a small issue with one of the sheets being dirty but the staff was very helpful solving the issue and even offering a discount for the inconvenience. The hotel is in a convenient location right next to a Kroger for any groceries we needed at the stay and right in front if the beach."

"This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have ever experienced. When we arrived late at night, there were people smoking outside the property, which created an uncomfortable first impression. The room appeared poorly maintained and unclean. I found bugs on the bed, the sheets felt damp, the shower appeared stained, and there was visible dirt on the floors. Due to the condition of the room, I did not feel comfortable staying for the full reservation and left earlier than planned. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell far below my expectations for cleanliness, comfort, and quality. Based on my stay, I would not recommend this property."

"The room wasn’t as nice as we expected. There was some sort of white electronic sphere on the wall with a fairly large hole right next to it. I’m sure it was supposed to be covering the hole but wasn’t. We saw a lot of scratches and scuffs on the bathroom door and walls, seemed outdated as wasn’t dirty just worn down, trash cans scuffed and dish soap plates missing paint. We were also disappointed that there wasn’t a hand towel holder. Mostly small stuff in the grand scheme of things but for the price of the room we just expected a lot more than we got. The people working the front desk could have been a little more pleasant to deal with but when I was speaking to one of them it was almost like she wasn’t paying attention and I was having to repeat myself. Over all I would much rather stay at the Tremont again!"
