This hotel set the new standard for my wife to travel to Japan now. It is sit right below Inuyama castle and the hot spring is just perfect after all day out. It's garden (free with room key) is relaxing and tea ceremony (600Yen) was great. The hotel is well designed and the breakfast set (5000 pp) is well worth it. The room is a repurposed office, so the shape is a little unusual having a full window as the wall facing the road. This is covered by a curtain. If you need to sleep in total darkness, it may be a little uncomfortable. The curtain blocked the light enough for us to sleep comfortably though. I loved this place. Im an english speaker and they did their best for me. Great stuff in the room. A lot of fun. Do know its a love hotel. My room and a speaker system. Only complaint is the 20 minute walk to the station. I like walking and thats not a bad lengthbut not everybody would like it. Mall right next door with plenty of food options. Gifu castle and the buddha castle are quite close. Nagoya is less than an hour away.

I found this hotel to be the best in Japan. The staff was so nice and helpful. Great food on the spot, good price. Big bathz Very Very Hot water at all times. CAFE ON SITE!! Nice Japanese style viewing garden on site. Convince store a block away is the only thing near the hotel. The location is not good if you want to walk around and see sights, but taxi service cost us less than 1000 yen so $6.64 USD! I your going to be in Nagoya, this is a great hotel!

On a recent family trip to Japan, we stopped in Gifu to see the cormorant fishing (a fascinating and enjoyable experience), and had the good fortune to spend a night at the Juhachiro. Great hotel with a private sauna in every room. The beds are comfortable and there is a small refrigerator with a freezer in the room. We spent a long day of walking around Gifu Castle and Gifu park, so we enjoyed relaxing in the sauna after. And we went to the hotel's roof top space and looked at the stars.
