Very comfortable

Roomy and a good size apartment, perfect for the two of us for 7 weeks. Everything we needed, maybee except for an oven, but we made due. Jose' was very friendly, helpful and attentive. The only cloud was the Covid-19 that put a stop to our outings. Will stay here again if coming back.

Lovely large apartment with everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Gil met us at the apartment early in the morning with the keys & the remote for the garage door. He was very helpful & showed us around the apartment explaining where everything was. The apartment has everything that you need. It is clean & comfortable. There is a small sun terrace off the bedroom which at this time of year usually gets the sun later on in the afternoon. The kitchen has all the essentials​ including a washing machine which came in very useful. The apartment is only a 15 to 20 minute walk down to the nearest supermarket & shops. It​ is well placed for walking to the marina, old town or the tourist area on Estrada Monumental. On the day we were leaving our flight wasn't until the evening so Gil very kindly let us stay on until the afternoon. We enjoyed our stay & would gladly return.

"O apartamento tem tudo aquilo que é necessário. Tem áreas amplas, estava bastante limpo e está localizado a cerca de 10min a pé da zona antiga da cidade. O facto de possuir garagem é também um factor de valorização para quem aluga carro. Os proprietários mostraram-se sempre disponíveis para que a estadia decorresse da melhor forma."

netter Vermieter, alles hat gut geklappt, zu Fuß gut erreichbar, alles vorhanden was man braucht, aber leider sehr dunkel durch einen großen Baum vor der Loggia. Bequemes Bett alles ok.

Great place to explore Funchal and all of Madeira

The property is in a residential local neighborhood and has all the amenities to be able to enjoy a long term stay. It is a bit of a walk to the center but we enjoy walking so it was not an issue. The property is spacious and clean.

superbe appartement

Grand appartement d'une parfaite propreté, très calme, dans un petit immeuble au fond d'une rue en impasse à 10 minutes à pieds d'un centre commercial où l'on trouve tout selon dont on a besoin et toute la ville est accessible à pieds de l'appartement sans problème. La chambre à coucher est grande et possède un lit de 160 centimètres de large d'une qualité exceptionnelle. Elle possède deux grandes armoires avec penderies. Tout l'électro-ménager est de très bonne qualité et fonctionne parfaitement. L'appartement est entièrement aux normes en ce qui concerne l'électricité et l'eau et on sent que tout a été parfaitement pensé pour la sécurité et le confort des locataires. Rien n'a été oublié. Il y a une petite courette intérieure très agréable pour prendre l'apéritif et deux terrasses fermées, l'une pour faire sécher le linge et l'autre pour déjeuner ou dîner, selon son envie. La salle de bains est parfaite et le salon/salle à manger d'un grand confort. Juan Pedro, qui nous a reçus de façon charmante, a pris la peine de répondre avec une grande gentillesse à toutes nos questions et s'est tenu disponible pour toute information supplémentaire de notre part au cours de notre séjour. Nous recommandons cet appartement de qualité/prix exceptionnels sans restriction pour tous ceux qui voudraient découvrir la magnifique île de Madère. Angela et Eric

Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet, sehr sauber und nicht weit vom Hafen entfernt. Da wir einen Mietwagen hatten, war die Garage Gold wert. Der Vermieter wohnt im selben Block und war nett und hilfsbereit. Jederzeit kann man hier bedenkenlos buchen.

Appart proche centre historique de Funchal.

Durant 15 jours, avec une bonne voiture louée chez Sixt, et grâce à un réseau routier de très bonne qualité, nous avons pu sillonner et visiter l'ensemble de l'île qui est très belle, végétation luxuriante et fleurissement exceptionnel. Les Madériens qui participent à cet embellissement (pas de tondeuses... seulement une serpette à la ceinture et de l'huile de coude !) ont beaucoup de mérite. Nous avons pu également randonner le long de quelques levadas (chaussures de marche et lampe de poche indispensables) et profiter de superbes paysages (cascades, falaises...). Pas de souci pour se déplacer si pas de véhicule (taxis, bus) et pour trouver de quoi se ravitailler, ou pour les dîners dans les très nombreux restaurants, à des prix très abordables. L'appartement de M. Canha est bien situé pour visiter le centre historique de Funchal accessible à pied en 10mn, son appartement est parfaitement meublé et entretenu, dans résidence très calme et sécurisée avec parking fermé, et son emplacement - à l'écart de la zone hôtelière du Lido, et au bout d'une petite rue sans issue, près d'une chapelle et d'une petite école - permet de s'imprégner de la vie quotidienne des Madériens (En Juin, fête de l'Atlantic avec concours de feux d'artifices, fête des Arts, fête de la St Jean). Bref, cette destination est parfaite pour ceux qui aiment et respectent la nature. Nous y reviendrons certainement, et pouvons recommander la location de M. Canha à toutes personnes.

Very nice and quiet apartment!

We recently spent a week in this spacious, quiet apartment in Funchal. The apartment was spotlessly clean, and we had everything we needed for a lovely vacation. It is only about a ten-minute walk to the old part of Funchal, and far away from the bustling tourism of the hotel side of the city. The owner, Gil, was very helpful, offering suggestions on where to go and eat on the island. We recommend this apartment highly!

Nice apartment

Large apartment, very friendly owner who lives nearby. The apartment is a 20 min walk downhill to Funchal and a quite steep hike back up - although there are buses which stop 3 minutes away. Very shady apartment - in January we had no sun whatsoever. There is an outside space which is light, but not sunny at this time of year. Nearest shops and restaurants 20 minutes walk away. Good internet connection, some british tv, news and bbc entertainment channel.

Large apartment in quiet area

This large, well maintained property is located in a residential area about 15-20 mins uphill walk from the marina. The bus station and large shopping mall- La Vie, not Dolce Vita- are within 10 mins walk. The friendly owner, Gil, pointed out a few places of interest and told us the nearest places to eat were in the mall which didn't sound too promising at first but there's a lovely Italian restaurant tucked away in the corner where we ate twice and would recommend. The downside is that there are two very large trees in front of the apartment which cut out all the light and make it a bit cold and gloomy (which is why we didn't give 5 stars) Would suggest putting table and chairs and a couple of pot plants on the patio outside the bedroom as this gets the sun. Our favourite day out was to Ponta de Sao Lourenco, the most easterly point- wild and rugged with fantastic views- you need sturdy footwear and water. There's plenty to do in and around Funchal, museums, gardens, lots of walking and there are dozens of restaurants in the old town and a lovely atmosphere.

Bonjour, J'ai séjourné a l'appartement de monsieur Gil Canha rue saint Jean Voici mes appréciations L'appartement est situé a 600 m d'un centre commercial « La vie » avec supermarché Pingo doce et restauration rapide dans la galerie . La cathédrale est a 1 km . La rue Saint Jean est une rue sans issue donc très calme le soir. L'aérobus est a 300 m . L' appartement est spacieux avec une grande entrée .Monsieur Canha est sympathique et discret . La cuisine est fonctionnelle et il ne manque rien, après la cuisine vous avez un endroit a l'abri ou vous pouvez sécher votre linge en cas de pluie. La chambre dispose d'un grand lit avec couette et couverture pour les plus frileux.Salle avec 6 chaises salon avec canapé et un fauteuil avec écran plat et chaînes françaises ( M6 , tv5 monde et une chaîne d'information ).La connection Wifi est de bonne qualité. Pour le petit déjeuner ou autre vous pouvez le prendre dans une véranda . Dans la continuité de la chambre vous pouvez sécher votre linge dans une petite cour fermée . La salle de bain dispose d'une baignoire et le chauffage instantané est de bonne qualité avec un bon débit. Le seul défaut mais il est minime c'est que la connection wifi ne possède pas de mot de passe . Je ne peux que conseillé ce logement, ce qui est sur c'est que je reviendrais dans ce logement avec mon épouse cette fois .

Steigung etwas länger - Tiefgaragenstellplatz enthalten => keine Parkplatzsorgen - habe mich sehr wohlgefühlt

Chegamos à Madeira no dia 5 de Novembro,proprietario muito gentil e disponivél. apartamento tem tudo o que é necessário para umas boas férias. Tem áreas amplas, estava muito limpo e está localizado perto de tudo o que precisamos.A garagem é também uma mais valia para quem aluga carro. Chegamos à Madeira no dia 22 de Out, há hora combinada o sr Gil estava no apartamento para entregar as chaves e disponível para o esclarecimento de qualquer dúvida. O apartamento é excelente, áreas grandes, mto bem decorado, arejado e mto funcional. Tudo bem limpo, cozinha com td o q é necessário para algumas refeições e garagem.... Próximo do centro da cidade e do Dolce Vita. Basicamente, excelente... ;)

Fantástico!!!

Ha sido una estancia corta pero muy intensa. El Sr. Gil nos recibió en el apartamento para entregar las llaves y nos facilitó un mapa y nos explicó sitios que visitar, donde comer... fue muy amable. El apartamento es perfecto, tal cual se muestra en las fotos, muy espacioso, bien decorado, estaba muy limpio, dispone de Wifi... Está situado en una zona muy tranquila y cerca del centro de Funchal. Recomiendo 100% quedarse en el apartamento. Si necesitas cualquier cosa el señor Gil siempre está disponible. Muito obrigada por tudo. Oxalá poda voltar algum dia. Cumprimentos.

Un bon endroit pour visiter Madère

Bel appartement très propre , spacieux et joliment décoré à 10 minutes du centre ville et 5 minutes du terminal de bus pour l'aéroport. Son plus, une belle loggia où il est très agréable de petit déjeuner et dîner. Gil le propriétaire nous a proposé son garage pour la voiture que nous avons louée très pratique. Gil est très sympathique et à notre disposition si besoin est. Nous recommandons cet appartement Viviane et Jean-Philippe
