Location was excellent. The hotel was not the four-star experience that I've had in other hotels in Paris - the paint and carpet in the halls was dreary, the room decor wasn't four-star; bed was comfortable, helpful staff, clean, quiet

The hotel was closed!
We arrived to discover the hotel was locked. We phoned using the number provided by hotels.com and a receptionist answered to say she would be with us in 10 minutes. Sure enough, she turned up but only to explain that the hotel was closed - if we really wanted to, we could have a room for the night ...
