"Room was satisfactory, but the pillows were the absolute worst pillows I have ever slept on. The faucet in the bathroom was sitting so far back. I could barely get my hands under it. We felt that $15 for the continental breakfast and $17 for the hot breakfast which only included 3 Items was Way out of range and the gentleman that explained it to us had such an accent and spoke so fast we could not understand him."

"I just recently stayed at The Academy and it was overall a good experience. The room was clean, the staff was helpful and very friendly. The only issue I had was the morning breakfast wasn't refilled very well after the first rush went through. Breakfast was from 7-10am or something like that and my family and I showed up around 830am and most of the food was gone, along with condiments, syrup, orange juice/milk etc. It felt more like slim pickings, getting what little was left while you can type of thing and there was a good amount of people walking around just looking for something to eat, wondering where everything was. Also the bar/grill area, which was advertised to be used for dinner and drinks later at night had no one down there. My family and I wanted to eat there in the evening and have a couple drinks but there was 1 cook and that's it. It said "wait to be seated" but no hostess, no waiters, no bartender. I went to the front desk and he said that he could seat us and take our order and drinks but it was going to be slow because he also had to check people into the hotel as well. We ended up going to Red Robin and spending over $100 for a couple burgers and regular drinks instead (that's a whole other issue....good food/service but insanely expensive for some burgers and an app and no alcohol). Anyway, The Academy is a good hotel but could definitely use some polish to really be considered great like it was the last time we stayed there about 6 years ago."

"Very nice hotel and staff. This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at for a decent price. Everything looks brand new and each room has everything you need if you’re staying for a long extended time (fridge, microwave, dishes and electric stove top). Free breakfast was available daily with different options each day. Hotel also had a small restaurant/bar and snack bar. There are also many places to eat around the hotel that are within walking distance. Used the gym a few times and had everything you could think of. There were washers and dryers also available for $4 per use, which is overpriced but I guess you’re paying for convenience. The only two downsides were no pool area and free street parking can be difficult to find around the hotel. The hotel offers daily valet for $55 per night, which is extremely high."
