The Charles Hotel

"We have been staying at this property for the last few years, which speaks for itself. Charles Hotel is a true "old charm" in the heart of a beautiful NOTL. Its location is perfect for those who appreciate quiet romantic spaces and, at the same time, would like to stay close to all the amenities. The hotel staff is very friendly and customer-oriented. The hotel grounds are well-maintained, which provide beautiful views from the hotel terraces and patios. Also even though there are no coffee makers in the rooms, you are able to order (for free) any teas and/or coffees which will be brought up directly to your room in a few minutes. Last, we would like to thank Alex for being very helpful and for honouring our room request! We are looking forward to coming back to this beautiful property in the future."

"We had another pleasant stay here! We arrived on a rainy afternoon but were able to sit and snack at the porch while watching the lake. We loved and used the outdoor facilities a lot and wish that they would be maintained better, e.g. Clean the cobwebs off the outdoor furniture and the balconies and porch. The location can't be better and Mary Clare and Elizabeth were very pleasant and accommodating. Will stay longer next time!"

"Hotel is very centrally located with underground parking. Room was large with 2 queen size beds with nice bedding but the lighting was poor, unable to read by bedside light. Has what appears to be an upscale spa which we did not avail ourselves."

"Fantastic location in town! Spacious accommodations with privacy between bedrooms and two with en suites. Good kitchen. The decor is outdated unfortunately & could use a deep cleaning throughout. Very large outside grassed area with seating areas. Great booking!"

"The location is great. We were only there overnight for a quick mini getaway. The check-in process was seamless, as was the check-out. The accommodations were comfortable. We were provide a continental breakfast delivered to our room in the morning. All in all I would go back in a heartbeat."

"We very much enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well-equipped and lovely, the living room beautiful, the bedrooms very comfortable, and the bathrooms and showers excellent. The yard to the house, too, is lovely, and as the backyard is enclosed our dog could run outside safely. The location of the house is ideal as it is a very short walk to Queen Street with its shops and restaurants."
