Clean room, friendly staff, nice pool, walking distance to beach, complimentary breakfast, plenty of restaurants to choose from including a Walmart near by. Love, love, love! I truly did not want to leave.

The property was fine. It's an older motel, but it's clean l. They have done a few upgrades in the bathrooms. It was a little difficult to find my room, but I did finally find it.The property is over multiple blocks.They have probably bought up multiple older motels over the years and run them as one unit. But overall, it wasn't a bad experience at all.

Rooms are cleaned every three days and only if you ask for it. The villas are like old homes or hotel rooms that just have the basics no flair or luxury.

Our family experience overall was great.. I was very surprised with the hotel, very happy. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Few steps from the beach and the Hollywood boardwalk, really recommend.

The day before my checkout date, I received a text saying how was my stay? So instead of going to the nearby beach I decided to stay in my room and then I get an angry knock on the door. Room service told me to get out, why am I still here and that I overstayed my booking. It felt like I was not welcomed there. I went to the front office and they told me it was their mistake. I still had to pay a fee to reinstate my room key, no exceptions even though it was their fault. The boy who checked me in was flirting with the girl co-worker and he assumed that I was staying for three days without checking my itinerary. I purchased a three day parking pass, which I did not use. He overwritten and changed my stay by giving me one less day in the computer. He did it quickly to get me out of the office so that he can continue with his conversation. Second day, room service left towels and a toilet roll right in front of the door when I walked in without resetting the bed or bathroom, as if they expected me to self-service the room. Today I checked out and the same room service woman asked me “are you checking out?” three times knowing that I already checked out with the manager and was waiting for an Uber. She said that I was rude and that was the cherry on top. The attention or non attention to detail is why I am writing this review to let other travelers have a choice in staying somewhere else where it will be more enjoyable for vacation, no stars!

My stay

I didn’t end up staying at the Sunrise because the room wasn’t ready when I got there so they move me to their other property Casa Pellegrino Boutique Hotel which was ok with me. The room was clean & comfortable. The area very quite and one minute from the beach.

We recently stayed here with our family and had a mixed experience. The staff was genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. Check-in being avaiable very late (we arrived at 1am) was especially convenient. The pool and outdoor area were plesant overall. That said, the condition of the room left a lot to be desired. While it appeared generally clean, if felt quite warn and in need to TLC. The bathroom was a standout concern - the tile and shower had been painted over, and there were noticeable chips of paint collecting in the drain. There was a kitchen, but no dishes or kitchen towels. Overall, the friendliness of the staff and some amenities were positives, but the room felt quite tired. Distance to the beach and board walk were another positive.

Very disorganized check-in process with long wait. The facility definitely seemed understaffed. The unit itself was pretty drab. Felt a bit like a jail cell or dorm room. View was obstructed. We didn’t even try swimming in the pools, which were spread out over the blocks and not near our unit as everything looked a bit run down. The only positive was the location— you can walk right out to the beach and it was nice to walk along the little strip— however it is very bar heavy and got a bit rowdy at night. Might be good for college kids, but definitely not somewhere I would ever stay again. Disappointing.
