"I must be honest, I wasn’t the one staying there, but live in the area. I got there before my daughter and her family arrived and it was clean with a lovely welcoming sign. Everything you needed was there. The only unwelcome thing was the blizzard. The house is great in a super area and I can only imagine how great it would be to sit on the deck and walk to the beach. What I will say is the host is AMAZING. I had to constantly change check out dates, had lots of questions since I wasn’t staying there and she was quick to answer, so sweet and willing to help with anything. Nice place in a super area. "

"We had a great time in Newport despite having bad weather. The lucky thing is the house was comfortable and warm and had everything we needed. Steve was an excellent host and made sure everything was working and checked in during the day just to make sure we were OK to see if we needed anything.I really like the location, which was actually in Jamestown and not Newport. Close enough to quickly drive over and go to Newport to do the mansions and to eat, but in a cute area with a really cute café for breakfast just one minute walk, less than 10 minute walk to a grocery store, and a 10 minute walk to lots of restaurants in Jamestown."

"House is very pretty and spacious.Communication could have been better. I used the VRBO portal to try to resolve a miscommunication two days before arrival and it took a day and a half to receive a response. Host told me I should have texted him but I was never provided his phone number.There are 5 heat pumps/AC split system units but only one controller provided. This negates the feature of having guests be able to independently set temperatures to be comfortable in the lower level. Be prepared to bring extra towels - only 1 bath towel (old and tired) provided per guest and one hand towel per bathroom. "

"Beautiful home with amazing views and access to the beach. Well equipped kitchen, games and puzzles for the family. Great home work station and all the sporting equipment you would need. "

"Asa’s home was perfect for our family vacation of 4 (including our dog), but can accommodate many more - The view was so delightful (amazing) that it was difficult to leave each day to explore Newport and the surrounding area. Check-in was a breeze as Asa met us upon arrival to explain everything about the house. The house was lovely and comfortable. It was well-stocked with everything you would need for your stay. Getting to Newport was very easy as the house is close to the Jamestown Bridge. Narragansett is just a short drive away. We also enjoyed visiting the birthplace of Gilbert Stuart, the famous portrait artist. Much to do in the area but we really enjoyed just relaxing at this lovely home. We would not hesitate to recommend Asa’s getaway and we look forward to returning!"
