"VRBO and the host double booked the place. After a long drive we arrived to a house full of guests who were already unpacked and very unhappy to see us. VRBO's "VRBO Care" would have had us moved from a 4 bedroom house to a hotel for one night, and then the remaining nights at a similar place nearby (but that we would need to find on our own). This was unacceptable so we asked for a full refund."

"Clean, nicely decorated home and polite hosts, but our stay was significantly impacted by a heating failure during extreme cold. We arrived to a 51° house just before a winter storm; despite emergency heat, only the living room and primary bedroom (with fireplaces) were usable. A functioning HVAC system is a basic requirement at this price point. No refund was offered; relocation during the storm was the only solution. We appreciate the home, and would have loved to return."
