The rooms were clean, but there was a noticeable musty smell that could be improved. Also, the staff at the Shipman Bar were not particularly welcoming or friendly, which took away from the overall experience.."

"Perfect spot for a one night stay while heading to the east coast. Bed was comfy, shower great. Front desk staff very helpful when our tv stopped working. Breakfast was acceptable and coffee was good. Only off putting thing was the garbage bags outside the side entrance in back lot. Looks like it hadnt been picked up in days. May have been just our timing. Hotel was as described , no bells or whistles which was fine by us."

"Great place very secluded surrounded by nature but still close enough to necessities, Stephan (host) and his place will give unbelievable family /friend vibe , Breakfast simply delicious , You can simply just go there to experience his breakfast , we travel quite often but can’t recall when i have such a breakfast in the morning, We spend 4 days 3 nights, there is so many things to do , hiking swimming snorkeling, boat cruises, , little towns with history and great food , And for U.S . Visitors is just way cheaper then staying on NY state side , and You are literally 6 min on the other side of the boarder, Place just for couples we’ve met some great people, great evenings Highly recommended JS and EW"

"We arrived later in the evening and Greg ensured that the lights were on. That really helped as we walked from the parking area. The cabin was rustic as described but comfortable and clean. The view of the lake was beautiful! It was very helpful that we could borrow the provincial park pass. Greg also took the time to clean out the outdoor fire pit after the rain. We enjoyed our stay."
