"Make sure to bring any food/groceries with you! The closest thing felt hours away (obviously it wasn't but on vacation it felt that way). However, that was the beauty of it. Surrounded by nature not people! Renting a boat and jet skis were effortles. And the best part, it's a very short drive to park. Definitely not walking distance. Very clean and comfy. If I could say the only negatives were spiders covered the porches and walkways. A little curbside update might be nice to align with the photos but the overall function was good."

"We had a great experience staying here. I surprised my husband with this quirky place and he got a kick out of it! Clean and quiet. Bed comfortable. AC was COLD which I loved after a long hot day on the lake. Nice covered grilling area and fire pit! Will def stay again!"

"Overall we had a good stay. The cabin itself was clean, towels were provided in the bathroom. Check-in/out was contactless and went smoothly. The cabin is on the same property as two other rental buildings, which wasn't a problem for us. Be aware that the queen bed is extremely soft (I'm usually not picky but I'm glad I was the only one on it). I tried to contact the host to double check that I had the cancellation/refund date correct (I was struggling to find it again after I booked) due to weather concerns and I got an AI response. I was not going to be upset if someone had just replied "it is too late for a refund", but I didn't even get a human, just basically AI spitting my words back at me. This is their business and not just their personal vacation joke they are renting out, so I would expect a bit more. Overall decent for a budget stay."

"Absolutely amazing house with TONS of room for the whole family. Great kitchen which was well supplied, including a slow cooker and a rice cooker! We cook all our meals for our family while on vacation and had no issues with this kitchen. The outdoor patio is awesome, plenty of furniture for everyone to lounge on and tables for outdoor eating. Really nice fire pit and a grill as well. The dock is amazing, we spent hours every day swimming, fishing, and sunning ourselves on it. The kids used the paddle boat and kayaks for exploring the lake and fishing. The setting was very quiet throughout the week, hardly another soul seen on the lake. Highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway. It’s also very close to a lot of hiking trails which we explored, and not far from Walhalla where there are some cool shops and coffee joints. The host was very communicative and friendly, provided easy to follow instructions for check in and check out. Again, highly recommend this place for a quiet family getaway."

"Home was beautiful and kitchen had everything you need. Great space for multiple families. The lake view was beautiful and the porches were great. Any issue that arose was promptly dealt with by the host. It was hard to leave!"

"My family loves this cabin!! It’s so close to the boat ramp! The home is charming!! It has what you need after a day at the lake. It’s an older home so don’t expect the glitz of beach rentals or expensive lake rentals. I personally love older homes as my home was built in 1932 so I appreciate this lovely cabin. There’s plenty of room and the big tv and dining table make spending time with family so much fun. The beds are comfortable. Make sure you bring everything you need as there isn’t a Walmart or grocery store very close. Bring bug spray as the mosquitoes are terrible but that’s everywhere in SC. This is my go to home at Lake Jocassee but don’t let anyone know as this home is such a great little secret and I don’t want it to be booked when I want to stay. The owner is great and very responsive!!! We will be back soon I hope!Thank you for sharing your home Marshal!!’"
