"I was a little apprehensive due to the reviews, however I had a great stay. Check in was easy, Robert on the desk was great and chatty. Room was easy to find and maybe I got lucky, room was perfect for my requirements. A large TV, fridge, modernised bathroom, black out curtains, appeared to be a recent carpet, and a comfy bed. Heating was easily adjusted at the radiator. Hotel was quiet. "

"FOR: All 100% perfect inc booking-in, reception staff, luxury rooms, breakfast & evening meals, staff serving and outside areas. Can’t get any better than that! Didn’t use any amenities. AGAINST: Told to enjoy when booking in December newly refurbished Orangery restaurant. Looked really beautiful in photo but when arrived end Feb it was still like a building site, so a bit misleading. Would love to go again when Orangery Restaurant opens. "

"Everything was to a very high standard from very pleasant helpful staff to food and drinks etc The room we stayed in had just been refurbished Decor fixtures and fitting excellent We stayed overnight as was daughters wedding. Would highly revommend as wedding venue. Staff were very attentive Especially wedding co-ordinators Amber and Jamie Meal and evening buffet was perfect. All staff are a credit to Gailes Hotel and SimpsInns family "
