"My stay here was extremely pleasant. My room was comfortable, spacious and kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast was super - my choice was usually juice, coffee (good coffee!), fresh bread with homemade jams and eggs in various ways. The owners and all the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The premises are also well situated- quick access from main roads when arriving/departing, quiet, and within easy walking distance from central Stellenbosch.

"Coming from the US and having heard all kinds of stories about SA, I will say this property is very safe and secure, with (free) gated parking. I had a 2 bedroom apartment that was very spacious and had a patio area and kitchen. It was enormous. The staff are very courteous and helpful, and eager to share all the great things Stellenbosch has to offer. Laundry service is a plus and so is the location—walkable to any number of great restaurants and cafes. Great value as well. Highly recommended."

"After a warm and happy late check in, I wondered to my room to find a disaster unfold. As it was late at night I had no opportunity to leave as the staff leave at 1030pm
Many windows have been left open and there were a number of mosquitoes in the room
The towel rail fell off the wall as soon as I lifted a towel.
Then I informed my towel to find dark stains all over it.
There was blood over a number of pillows and sheets.
The floor had not been cleaned properly and my feet were filthy...

"The rooms are old, tired, badly designed and out of date. There were fishmoths in the bed. The spa services and sauna were out of service and the pool was not heated as advertised. There was no service by the pool and the hotel has no contingency to cope with the regular planned power outages that have been a part of love in South Africa for 14 years now. We couldn't even have toast with breakfast. You can find far better accommodation in Stellenbosch for much much cheaper. "
